Our Extra-Curricular Programme

Nowadays, all top colleges and universities look for more than just academic qualifications amongst their new applicants. An interest and aptitude in sport, performance, art, music, debate or helping the community shows a well-rounded disposition and, more, an individual applicant’s prowess in such an area can really help to clinch a place when candidates’ exam grades are similar. All in all, recognition or achievement in a ECA can really enhance a CV or resume when applying for a place at university – and of course a job.

We aim to provide a varied, engaging, balanced range of Extra Curricular Activities in which everyone participates and has a chance to shine. This is the opportunity to find self -expression, learn something new, demonstrate leadership, gain awards and enjoy international recognition.

As well as being a great way to have fun, the opportunities here can build confidence, help to learn or develop a skill and provide another chance for your son or daughter to make new friends outside their class or year level.

We encourage all learners to participate in at least one ECA…two if possible.

Leadership

Leadership opportunities are planned with the introduction of Student-Led UN Day Assembly Presentations, a House System, School Council and the appointment of Head Boy & Girl, Prefects and House Leaders.

Service Learning

Learning to become a life-long contributor to the community is included in our Vision Statement.  This may take the form of donations or service to local religious organisations or educational institutions, work with those living with disabilities, homelessness, poverty or support for the environment and animal welfare.

Summer School

We intend to run a Summer School each year which will feature a series of creative and competitive activities not otherwise featured during the year.

Weekend Classes

Let your child get ahead on their English language learning journey with the world-renown Cambridge English Starters, Movers and Flyers, suitable for ages 6-11. These qualifications are supported by abundant, modern resources and the certificates – which will last a lifetime – are aligned with the international standard Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (the CEFR).
